Bella Hauser recently graduated from the University of Richmond (May 2025). She majored in Biology and minored in Health Studies. Before attending URichmond, Bella attended Beaver Country Day School for high school. Throughout her childhood, she always had a passion for animals, science, and photography. During high school, she created four different photography projects. From freshman to senior year, she improved her photography skills and techniques while sharpening her creative abilities. She started experimenting with photos in her freshman year after learning how to properly use a professional camera. At first, she played with lighting and found a love for telling stories in photographs. She started to showcase emotions like trust and fear by using facial expressions and body language. In junior year, she entered her artwork into an exhibit and won the Secondary School Griffin Participation Award for her Haunted Photography Series at the Griffin Museum of Photography.

In her senior year, she created a series of photographs taken underwater, which was an ultimately difficult, but achievable task. She used two of her peers to model in her photographs in order to portray the feeling of longing. Bella entered her artwork into an art exhibit at the Griffin Museum of Photography again and won the Secondary School Griffin Participation Award for second place.

Throughout her college career, Bella focused on her goal in life to become a veterinarian. However, she continues to keep her passion for photography alive. Bella is a very hard-working student and passionate person; when she sets goals for herself, she meets them no matter the difficulty.
